Loch Insch Fishery

The Touring Park

30 acres of peaceful Aberdeenshire countryside, with stunning views of the Bennachie hills right on your doorstep. Wake up to birdsong, fish the loch before breakfast, and on clear nights from late August through to May, look up — our exceptionally dark skies mean the Aurora Borealis is a regular visitor here.

The setting

30 acres of Aberdeenshire countryside

Open skies, clean air and the sound of birdsong. Loch Insch sits in a quiet corner of Aberdeenshire where the pace of life is slower and the scenery is extraordinary. It is the kind of place you come to for a weekend and find yourself staying for a week. And from late August through to May, our exceptionally dark skies regularly treat guests to the Aurora Borealis — the Northern Lights dancing above the loch.
