The Tickled Trout is our on-site café, open to everyone — anglers, tourers, walkers and day visitors. We keep things honest: locally sourced produce, proper coffee and homemade bakes, with stunning views of the Bennachie hills right outside the window.
Bacon and sausage sandwiches made on the premises with produce from Graeme Barber's butcher in Alford, Aimee's homemade bakes fresh each day, and a proper drink to warm you up — whether that's a Bennachie coffee, a mug of Bovril or a Van Houten hot chocolate. Open until 9pm, so there's plenty of time to linger and watch the evening light fade over the Bennachie hills — and from late August to May, keep an eye out for the Aurora Borealis above the loch.
